Our annual women’s pairs two day Premier Challenge tournament is a highlight on our calendar and our Women’s committee have been working hard behind the scenes to pull everything together.

Rebecca had ordered fine weather, and Day One at Rangatira Golf Club on Thursday 21st March was a stunner! With 44 pairs in the field we had almost a full field with players representing 16 clubs from around the North Island.

Dinner at Feilding Golf Club on Thursday evening, with some entertainment provided by Jonty Ward.

Friday morning also dawned bright and shiny with the format being individual stableford – some impressive scoring made for a tightly contested competition!

Overall 1^st prize with 125 points (on countback) went to Rosemary and Liz Signal collecting $300 each travel vouchers and travel vouchers kindly sponsored by Ros Chapman from You Travel Feilding.

Overall 2nd prize also with 125 points (on countback) was Marina Gopperth and Brenda Duffy – each winning Merigolf Vouchers and hats, kindly sponsored by Amanda Lupton of Merigolf NZ.
